The Woodlands Stars Volleyball Club
From Bill Graves, Club Founder

To Former Parents and Players

Founding the Woodlands Stars six years ago has been one of the most personally gratifying experiences in my life.  First and foremost, I want to thank all former players and parents for being part of the Woodlands Stars.  Watching your kids improve, mature and succeed has been extremely gratifying.  In the process I have made many good friends.

I cherish and am honored that you trusted your daughter's volleyball aspirations in me and the Woodlands Stars.  In six short years, the Woodlands Stars became the fifth ranked club in the entire state of Texas and one of the top clubs in the nation.  It has also been one of the most remarkable success stories in club volleyball history.   What a fun ride it has been.  This is something I will always take great pride in.

I fought very hard to preserve and protect the continued future success of the Woodlands Stars.  It is tragic that the actions taken by my former partner, Marie Andersson, resulted in the demise of our outstanding organization.  Worst of all, many innocent families have been hurt and players damaged by these actions.

The Legends Sports Complex stepped in on November 24, 2008 and for six weeks, tried to negotiate a deal to purchase the Woodlands Stars, securing the long term future of the Woodlands Stars and most importantly the players.  They could showcase the Woodlands Stars many accomplishments by filling the rafters of their facility with championship banners and loading a trophy case with many awards and championship materials.  Legend's wanted to offer significant perks to club members.  Marie refused many reasonable offers.

Maintaining high ethics, integrity and honesty have always been of the utmost importance to me, all three  have been questioned due to the many unsubstantiated and slanderous accusations made against me by my former partner, Marie Andersson.

If you are interested in "The Real Story", please simply click on the tab for the truth behind the story of Marie Andersson's deliberate, irresponsible and selfish actions which destroyed a wonderful club.  You owe it to yourselves to seek the truth.  You can then form your own opinion regarding her ethics, integrity and honesty.

It's been a great ride and I wish you and your daughter's the best in whatever direction you have chosen to go.  I look forward to seeing you all again over these next two club seasons.  I am always here to answer any questions you may have about the Stars, other clubs or club ball in general.

Sincerely,
Bill Graves
